• •HOW DO I MEASURE A DOOR CYLINDER?
• •The size is determined by the thickness of the door and handle, many sizes are available so you need to be careful with your measurements (one size will not fit all). For accuracy remove your old cylinder to measure it. Your new cylinder should protrude by no more than 5mm from the handle back plates. Measure from the thumb turn (T) end of the cylinder to the middle of the central screw hole. Then measure from the other end to the middle of the central screw hole. Measure the overall cylinder length from end to end. The length of the cylinder should equal the sum of measurements when added together. When ordering please remember that the Thumb Turn will always be on the 'T' side (i.e. T50/50 Thumb turn, thumb turn knob will be on the 50mm side).
